She does not imitate the legends and icons, even though she is so fond of them and magically blends with their psyche, their era and legacy. It is evident Ms. Morrell adores Shirley Bassey. You can sense it in her personal interpretation of “This Is My life.” But if you listen to Morrell's "This Is The Moment" you will realize that Morrell is as good as Dame Bassey. Another song of Ms. Morrell is out of this world "And I In My Chair". Upon listening to that song, I was transported to the poetic world of Charles Aznavour and the laisser aller attitude of Frank Sinatra.

Ms. Morrell is a national treasure. Don't ever miss her show! Toni Morrell's "My British-American Dream" is America's best one-woman-show. Rating: 5 stars.

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY EXAMINER - by Kelley Vance

This one-woman show written by the talented star, takes us on a whirlwind journey that is her life. In less than two hours the audience is transported from England to New York, and finally to California, with a slight layover in Las Vegas. My British-American Dream…”What The Hell Was I Thinking?” makes for a wild and exciting ride. 

With a powerful voice… a matter-of-fact sense of humor, one quickly becomes mesmerized with the star of the show.  Her talents range from singing to dancing to wonderfully delightful impersonations.  With barely a blink of an eye a joyful and humorous scene can become a sober and sobering moment.  The change in the audiences’ demeanor is entrancing as they go from outrageous laughter to dead silence.  There are only a few actresses/actors who possess that range and depth of talent, and Toni Morrell can be counted in their midst. 

It’s difficult to put Toni Morrell in a specific category.  She is neither just a singer, nor is she just a dancer, nor is she just a comedienne.  Rather, she is all three combined. She is a diversified performer.  Her talent for song and dance is apparent from the beginning, but her knack for physical comedy strikes like lightning! I won’t say much, but her scene as the harried temp is pure magic, and it is a performance that would make the great Lucille Ball give praise….David Dial, the Musical Director (and her husband) is  a constant delight…Mr. Dial is the talent responsible for the music, sound effects and various off-stage voices.  With the combined efforts of Toni Morrell and David Dial, the audience is treated to two hours of pure onstage magic.
